Scholarship Opportunities
Besides the scholarships that we, the Westchester County USBC & JBT provide, our National and NYS associations also have a number of opportunities for scholarships.
USBC SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
One of the great benefits of USBC Youth membership is the chance to earn college scholarships! Scholarship applications open on August 1 and are due Decemeber 1 (with the exception of the Dexter), so we encourage association leaders and youth directors to make sure your USBC Youth bowlers are aware of the following scholarships:
- USBC Alberta E. Crowe Star of Tomorrow - $6,000
- USBC Chuck Hall Star of Tomorrow - $6,000
- USBC Earl Anthony Memorial Scholarship - $5,000
- USBC Annual Zeb Scholarship - $2,500 plus all expenses paid trip to the Awards Ceremony
- USBC Youth Ambassador - $1,500 plus all expenses paid trip to the Awards Ceremony
- USBC Gift for Life Scholarships - $1,000
- Dexter All-American Team consists of a selected 5 male & 5 female high school student/athletes - $1,000 per member, plus one of the team members will be chosen as Team Captain and will be awarded the Bud Clapsaddle Award - $500. Deadline for this application is March 22.

NYS USBC SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Like USBC, the New York State USBC awards thousands of dollars annually in scholarships to graduating seniors and to underclassmen through our Youth Education Services Committee. Applications open August 1st and scholarship applications are due February 1st. so we encourage association leaders and youth directors to make sure your USBC Youth bowlers are aware of the following scholarships:
- For Graduating Seniors, the Priscilla "Pat" Zonneville Memorial Award - $4,000
- The Youth Spirit Award - Athletes in grades 9-11
- Future Stars Award - Athletes in grades 5-8
- Future Stars Award - Athletes in grades k-4
